How Math Mental works
Short lessons organized as a path, with instant feedback and a full solution for every question.
Short answer
Math Mental is a free web platform for learning math. Learners follow a path of units; each lesson has 8 to 12 questions generated with fresh numbers, checked instantly and paired with a step-by-step solution. Consecutive study days build a streak, and practice and review sessions bring back what is not mastered yet.
The path
Content is split into sections and units. Each unit has lessons of increasing difficulty, practice sessions, a review and a final test. Completing a lesson unlocks the next one.
The lesson
A lesson is a sequence of multiple-choice or typed-answer questions, with a math keyboard. You check each answer right away and see the solution before moving on.
The streak
The streak counts consecutive days with at least one completed lesson. It turns study into a habit instead of rewarding long sessions.
Review
Practice and review sessions mix question types you have already seen and weigh your mistakes more, to consolidate content before moving forward.
Step-by-step solutions
Every question shows the full reasoning: the mental math strategy, the property used and each transformation of the expression up to the answer.
XP, hearts and leagues
Correct answers earn XP, mistakes cost hearts that refill over time, and weekly leagues compare your pace with other learners.
